Forty years! The Rimrunners have been in existence for 40 years. That seems amazing to me as the Club is made up of volunteers who generally just like to run for fun or relaxation. Part of the reason we’re still around is that we’ve always had a reliable, dedicated Board. The first board that formed in 1981 had the foresight to file as a non-profit organization with the State of Montana. That required that we have a set of bylaws and club officers. We select our officers for the year (or two) in October at our Demon Dash. We do have some openings coming up, specifically the Newsletter which Marlena Lanini has taken on for the last few years and, by the way, has done an excellent job! We also have at-large board positions, which don’t have a specific title, but are voting members and can jump in an area where they may have some interest or expertise.

So, I encourage anyone who’d like to help out the Yellowstone Rimrunners to keep going another 40 years to dip your toe in the water and join the Board! We meet once a month at 6:30 pm on the second Tuesday. We try to meet for just an hour and might have a beer during or after the meetings.

Be sure and come out to the Demon Dash on October 24!
