Come join us at any or all of our Weekly Club Runs. Runners of all levels are invited! Bring a friend or two. A great chance to meet new friends and have a great time!

Monday @5:30 meet Ryan Grubb & others at Swords Park (we park across from Edwards Jet Center) on the rims and run the Black Otter Loop.

Saturday- 8:00 a.m., Meet at the YMCA and run for one hour, routes vary. Meet at 7:30 AM for a longer run.

Sunday- 1.) Alan and a few others sometimes still meet at Zimmerman Center (Pioneer Park) or Zimmerman Park (on the rims) for a long run at 8am. Anyone is welcome to join.   2.) Terry Johns is also leading a 10 - 15 mile long run every Sunday starting at 6:30 a.m. at Dehler Park. For more information, contact Terry Johns at 656-6023.

1/1/2010, New Year’s Day Run & Potluck Breakfast.  Meet January 1 at 9a.m. at the Riverfront Park fireplace picnic shelter for the popular annual New Year’s Day run and potluck breakfast by the fire.  You can run whatever distance you’d like and runners of all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

1/23/2010, the Yellowstone Rimrunners’ Holiday Party!  Join fellow Rimrunners, their Family Members & Young Folk, a date or a Friend, all are welcome. 1/24/09, “all-comers” indoor track meet, Bozeman, Brick Breeden Field House.  Field events will begin at 11:00 A.M. with track events starting at 12:00 P.M. Doors open at 9:00 A.M.  Medals are awarded to the top five finishers in each age division with hats, T-shirts, and USATF apparel available. High school athletes may enter an unlimited number of events. Maximum of three events for youth athletes, and not more than four events for open and masters. February 2010

February 5-7, 2010---Rimrunner X-country ski trip to Yellowstone Park. If you considering going on the Rim Runner xc ski trip to Yellowstone Park ACT FAST because only 3 seats remain on the 8:30 shuttle. Cost is $16.22 per person.  If we get a lot more than 3 more people interested we can reserve another shuttle for 10:30 but time is quickly running out.  This is a fun trip for people of all skill levels. 

Trip Details:

Feb. 5th Friday: Skiers arrive in Gardiner Friday evening.  The Comfort Inn gives the club a rate of $65 plus tax. The Comfort Inn phone # is 406-848-7536

 Feb. 6th, Saturday: Shuttle departs Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel @ 8:30 prompt

Skiers can be dropped off at a trailhead and ski to the warming hut or go right to the warming hut to ski the trails there before being picked up in the afternoon. A sack lunch is necessary. After skiing:  soak in the Boiling River, participate in the club's Potluck Dinner at the Comfort Inn Sat Night, play ping pong, sit in the Jacuzzi, lots of good times and camaraderie...

Feb. 7th, Sunday:  Some gather to do a morning run or meet for breakfast before skiing or heading home.  Everyone is on their own to do whatever trails they'd like.   You can be home in time for the Superbowl!!

2/13 Cupid’s Dash 3 mile Run/Walk New this year!  Run as a male/female team or individual, all levels including strollers and dogs are welcome.  Free use of Granite Peak facilities are free for participants on race day and they will offer free initiation fees that day for any race participants interested in joining Granite Peak Fitness.  Exercise, door prizes, bagels!  What a great way to begin the day! 3/13, Run to the Pub. Bozeman, MT. A St. Patrick's Day celebration not to miss on Saturday, March 13! Here is an early season 10K or Half Marathon to start your year off right. A mostly downhill course will get you prepped for meeting at the Pub after the race.  All runners receive a mug, a T-shirt, and post-race party at the 317 Pub! 3/14 (Sunday), Billings, THE SHAMROCK RUN. 5k and Kids Run sponsored by the RIM RUNNERS. 3/27 Purple 5K New events to benefit the Business Improvement District’s awareness & fundraising campaign and “Spare Change for Real Change”, World Bicycle Relief. These events will also serve as part of Big Sky State Game’s “Shape up Montana” campaign.  The first annual Purple 5K race will take place in the morning. Runners begin at 10 am, walkers at 10:15 am. Later, beginning at 5 pm the first annual Downtown Billings CRIT will begin for expert bicyclists, followed by the beginners’ class at 5:45 and Just for Fun will start at 6:15 pm. 8/28 & 29 42nd Annual BEARTOOTH RUN and BEARTOOTH RIDE  To better insure the safety of participants and volunteers during the 42nd Annual BEARTOOTH RUN and BEARTOOTH RIDE the Montana Department of Transportation has asked the official host organization, Beartooth Events, to make major changes in policies and venues. The races will be held on Saturday, August 28 (The BEARTOOTH RUN) and Sunday, August 29 (The BEARTOOTH RIDE). Race start times will begin at 7:00 a.m. Both the 4.2 and the 8.4 BEARTOOTH RUN running races will end at Vista Point while the BEARTOOTH RIDE time trial/hill climb cycling race will end at the Montana/Wyoming state line. 2/14 Colstrip, Sweetheart Run. Registration starts at 10:00 - Race starts at 11:00. This is a relay race.  The women run a three mile course first and tag the men and they run the same course for the second half of the race.  If you don't have a partner we will try to find one for you or you can just run for fun.  A spaghetti feed follows the race. 2/6-8 Yellowstone Rim Runners Annual Cross Country Ski Trip to Yellowstone Park. Contact Kathy Ruff to reserve your spot on the snow coach and remember SEATS ARE LIMITED.  Each shuttle holds 15 people and departs from the Mammoth Hotel at either 8:30 or 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.  The shuttle driver will drop skiers off at Indian Creek Trail so they can ski to the warming hut or take them right to the hut to ski the trails around there.  The cost is $15.22 per person and checks should be made payable to Kathy Ruff and mailed to her by Dec 24.  Kathy’s address is 3035 Arnold Palmer Dr., Billings, Mont.  59106. The Motel is the Comfort Inn in Gardiner, Mont.  The room rate is $65.00 plus tax ($69.55).  It includes a continental breakfast and free usage of the hot tub room.  The motel is closed until Jan 5th, but you can leave a message and they will call you back.
